Our Coral Friendly Natural Sunscreen contains shea butter, coconut oil, carrot seed oil, zinc oxide, vitamin E oil. Common chemical ingredients, such as oxybenzone and octinoxate, can kill coral and damage coral reefs. Non- nano zinc oxide powder appears to be safer reefs as “non-nano” means that the particles in the sunscreen are larger than 100 nanometers and therefore too large to be ingested by coral.
